about me

Hi folks! My name is Emery Ku, and you’ve made your way to my humble website :-)
the Past
I was born and raised in the beautiful lentil capitol of the world. I eventually struck out across the country to attend university at Swarthmore College in Philadelphia, where I studied Engineering and minored in Music and Asian Studies. After 4 amazing years, 3 of which I somehow ended up sharing a room with a very strange creature named Nick (who is incidentally one of my best friends and the current webhost of this site), I found myself in search of a new home.
← yes, this was my roommate for three years...
Pond-Crossing
After graduating in ’05, I graciously accepted a Fulbright Grant to pursue a Ph.D. in Active Vibration Control at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, here at the University of Southampton in England. If you’re especially curious about my research on nonlinear cochlear modelling, there is some information available on this page
About this Site
I originally started this blog in order to supplement my pictures website. My hope is that a few people will find my occasional ramblings of interest, and possibly even of some use! But basically it’s just an outlet to discuss a hobby that I love.
If you have any comments, please feel free to comment on the articles or any pictures if are you so moved. If you would like to communicate with me directly, contact me at emeryku at gmail dot com =)
cheers!
